Welcome to the world of traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
Your Appoinment
Treatments take place in my clinic which is based in my home. The treatment room is open and spacious with views overlooking the front/side garden. Access is via the front door, which opens into a large open hallway (which will be used as a waiting area as needed). The general environment is quiet, with lots of birds singing.
Preparing for the appointment
Wearing loose fitting clothing is easier for the treatment so that trouser legs or sleeves can be rolled up. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove items of clothing to allow proper access to the body for safe insertion of needles.
Health and Safety
I follow strict codes of health, safety and hygiene at all times. All needles are single-use and disposed of after each patient. Towels are used to cover sensitive areas during treatment. To see my Covid-19 health and safety policy please click here.

What happens at the appointment
During your first visit, which will last approximately 90 mins, I will take a full case history about the reason for your visit.
I will also ask about:
• Previous health problems
• Existing medical problems
• Any medications (including supplements and herbs)
• Any allergies
• General questions about your diet and lifestyle
• Menstruation (if applicable)
• Sleep and energy levels
NB Some questions may seem odd and irrelevant but they will help me formulate a complete picture about your health and aid me in making a diagnosis according to Chinese medicine history.
Please note
Patients will be requested not to eat or drink in the waiting area or treatment room (except water).
The property is a non-smoking environment (including vapes).
Child care facilities are not available, please do not bring children unless absolutely necessary.
