From time to time, additional treatments may be employed to aid the healing process.
Fire cupping
Glass cups form a vacuum seal on the skin to stimulate blood flow and clear stagnant qi.
Gua Sha
A 'Gua sha tool' often made of jade or quartz, is used to rub/scrape over the the skin, to increase blood flow and clear stagnant Qi. This can help to relieve pain and muscular tension.
Infra-red heat lamp
Improves blood circulation, which aids joint/muscular pain. It also helps to relax muscular tension and enables Qi to flow freely.
Electro-acupuncture
Similar to a TENS machine, small electrodes are attached to the needles. Electrical impulses are generated via the electrodes, which flow through the needles, stimulating the flow of Qi which helps to relieve pain.
