Welcome to the world of traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
Although Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed, the Government guidance and the Health and Safety Executive have made it clear that COVID-19 is still considered a significant workplace risk. For this reason, I will still be conducting a risk assessment for my premises and will be continuing to maintain high infection protection control measures. The treatment room will be cleaned before any treatments commence and in between each patient. The room will be ventilated in between patients. I have also undertaken several measures, which include the Barbicide certification, to make sure that safety of patients is top priority.
All patients who do attend will be risked assessed and will be asked to complete a health form and consent form in relation to Covid-19. This is to safeguard you as the patient, myself as the practitioner and my other patients, some of whom are vulnerable.
Hand gel will be available for all patients to use upon entering the clinic and on leaving.

Whilst the government guidance now states you are not legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19, it does advise if possible to stay at home and avoid contact with other people, (especially elderly & vulnerable). As I treat vulnerable patients, please do not attend the clinic if you are felling unwell. In order to protect patients, I will still be testing regularly for Covid-19. If I test positive I will be refraining from practice for at least 5 days and I will inform my patients.
Whilst mask wearing is no longer a legal requirement, I am happy to wear one if requested by the patient. If you are vulnerable please let me know and i will have masks ready as needed when you attend the clinic.
In order to protect yourself and others, please do not attend the clinic if you are feeling unwell (any cold type symptoms, coughs etc) or if you have tested positive to Covid. Please inform me as soon as possible and your appointment can be re-arranged.
I thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation. If you have any queries or concerns I will be happy to discuss these with you over the phone.

As I treat vulnerable patients and as I am vulnerable myself, I will still be testing regularly for Covid-19 by using lateral flow tests. If I test positive I will be refraining from practice for at least 5 days and I will inform my patients.
Whilst mask wearing is no longer a legal requirement, health care settings are still requiring patients wear them in order to protect their staff and patients’ a lot of whom are vulnerable. To that end, as I treat vulnerable patients and also have vulnerabilities myself and live with other vulnerable adults, I will still be requiring patients to wear masks or face shields when attending the clinic. Understandably if you have a medical reason and are unable to wear a face covering I will discuss you needs over the phone prior to your visit to try and mange you needs i.e. arranging your appointment first, before other patients attend.
